THE Borough claimed back-to-back wins in the Redditch Skittles League to move further clear of bottom team C and G Show.

A narrow win against Nomads saw The Borough claim just their second victory of the season.

The Borough led by eight pins at the end of leg one before Nomads took leg two to halve the deficit.

However, The Borough took both leg three and leg four to lead by seven pins before Nomads won the final leg.

And for Nomads, Mac Eaton (38) and Alan Cummings and Phil Jones (both 35) all impressed.

Elsewhere, table toppers Lodge Farmers claimed a comfortable victory against C and G Show.

The league leaders recovered from a poor first leg to win all of the remaining legs and record a maximum points haul.

Good scores from Andy Rumble (38, 12 stack), Frank Morris (37) and Jamie McGill (34, 12 stack) helped Lodge Farmers for victory.

For C and G Show, Neil Jay (33) and Rich Fisher and Dave Orton (both 31) top scored.

Lastly, Jumbo Jet Set beat Bernie’s Bolts in a close encounter with just nine pins between the two teams.

Jumbo Jets lost leg one but bounced back with a leg two score of 74 to turn the game in their favour and take a nine-pin lead.

And they also narrowly won the next two legs as the Bolts took leg five.

For Jumbo Jets, Darren Summers (43, 12 stack) and Dennis Compton and Rich Johnston (both 36) top scored.

And Paul Blayney (37), Lewis McSweeney (34) and Craig McSweeney and Andy Gill-Smith (both 33) impressed for Bernie’s Bolts.
