BERNIE’S Bolts moved up to second in the Redditch Skittles League table following a narrow win against C and G Show.
Bolts came from behind to win a tight game after the first leg was halved and were 12 pins down at the end of the second leg.
However, Bolts closed the deficit to five pins at the end of leg three and scored 78 in leg four to take a nine-pin lead into the final leg.
And C and G show were unable to close the gap, despite taking the final leg to earn a consolation point, as Dan Goodman (36), Danny Todd (35) and Lewis McSweeney (35 including 13 stack) top scored for the victors.
In reply, Lily Orton (37) and Angela Guest (36) top scored for C and G Show.
Lodge Farmers extended their lead at the top of the table with a comfortable win over nine-man Swingers.
Farmers dropped their lowest score in each leg to match up the team numbers and held a 21-point at the end of leg two.
Swingers won a close third leg but fell further behind at the end of leg four before taking the final leg.
Tim Jones (38) top scored for the winners followed closely by Rachel Morris (37, 11 stack) as Martin Brennan (42, 14 stack) and Rob Baker (32) top scored for Swingers.
Nomads upstaged Engineers as the victors claimed each of the first three legs to hold an impressive 29-point lead.
And Engineers were unable to recover as they halved leg four and won the final leg after Nomads posted a 71-pin first leg score.
For Nomads, Alan Cummings (42, 14 stack) and Eddie Upright (38) top scored with Bert Clewlow (36) and Ian Greenway (33) on form for Engineers.
Lastly, Jumbo Jet Set saw off The Borough despite the latter taking a nine-pin lead at the end of leg one.
And the next three legs were closely contested as Jumbo Jet Set recovered to lead by seven pins with The Borough unable to scored the required 69 pins needed to win the game in the final leg.
Jumbo Jets top scorers were Mick Stanton (40, 15 stack) and Rob Quartly (38) whilst Kim Workman (35) and Jordan Workman (34) top scored for The Borough.
