ENGINEERS racked up a mammoth 355-pin total, the highest in the Redditch Skittles League this season, in their victory against The Borough.

The victors scored 84 pins in their opening leg to lead by 19 pins before building a 45-pin advantage by the end of leg three.

However, the Borough fought back to win the final two legs and gain some valuable consolation points.

For Engineers, Luke Sanders (48, 17 stack) recorded the highest individual score to date while Ian Greenway (41) and Jo Kelso (37, 14 stack) also impressed.

For the Borough, Kim Workman (37, 13 stack), Scott Few (35) and Andrew Taylor (34) top scored.

Lodge Farmers remain top of the table after beating C and G Show as the victors took the first leg of the match by 12 pins.

C and G Show closed the gap to a single pin at the end of leg two only for Farmers to establish a nine-pin lead in leg three.

However, after C and G Show reduced the deficit once again, Farmers eventually triumphed by 22 pins.

For Farmers, Sue Morris (38, 13 stack) and Lynne Pemberton and Paul Cotton (both 36) top scored while Rich Fisher (35, 11 stack), Dave Orton (35) and Keith Edwards (33) impressed for C and G Show.

A close game ensued between Jumbo Jet Set and Nomads as the latter side built an eight-pin lead over the first two legs before the former team turned the tables to lead by a single pin at the end of leg three.

The Jets scored 72 pins in leg four and looked to open up a big lead only for an 11 stack from Mac Eaton to allow Nomads to win the leg by one pin and level the game.

However, Nomads then produced their lowest leg score of the match which allowed Jumbo Jets to seal victory.

For Nomads, Eaton (39, 11 stack), Wendy Cater (36, 12 stack) and Alan Spreckley (36) top scored while Rich Johnston (39), Ray Jones (37, 13 stack) and Mick Stanton and Rob Quartly (both 37) impressed for Jumbo Jets.
