ENGINEERS returned to the top of the Redditch Skittles League table with a dominant win against Nomads.
With former leaders Lodge Farmers without a game, Engineers made the most of their game against Nomads to take nine points from the fixture and regain top spot.
Nomads took the first leg by four pins and led by a single pin after leg two before Engineers stormed into a 15-pin lead at the end of leg three and won the remaining legs to seal a comfortable victory.
For Engineers, Josh Kelso (38), Luke Saunders (36) and Brandon Kelso (35) top scored with Mac Eaton (44, 15 stack), James Marshal (38, 13 stack) and Phil Jones (35) on form for Nomads.
Elsewhere, Jumbo Jets leapfrogged The Borough in the table with a comfortable win after winning each of the first three legs to open up a 26-pin lead.
The Borough reduced the deficit by taking the fourth leg before Jumbo Jets won the final leg to seal the points.
For Jumbo Jets, Len Quartly (38), Mick Stanton (37) and Dave Marriott (35) top scored with Scott Few (36), Steve Court (35) and Julian Workman (33) on form for The Borough.
Lastly, Bernie’s Bolts overcame C and G Show with a strong showing in the final leg after the Bolts raced into a 13-pin led at the end of leg two.
C and G Show took the next two legs, reducing the deficit to two pins in the process, before Bolts comfortable scored the required 47 pins in the final leg to seal victory.
For the Bolts, Dan Goodman (38), Paul Blayney (35) and Mark West (34) top scored with Dave Orton (35), Bryan Smith (33) and also Scott Hastings (14 stack), Rich Fisher, Keith Edwards and Angela Guest (all 32) on form for C and G Show.
