LEAGUE favourites Engineers moved top of Redditch Skittles League with victory against basement side The Borough.
And Engineers remain unbeaten as opening bowler Brandon Kelso (13 stack) and anchor man Mark Ganderton (16 stack) scored 45 pins apiece.
Only one Engineers bowler failed to score more than 30 pins while in contrast, for The Borough, only two players made 30-plus scores – Jon Dyke with 33 and Scott Few with 31.
The only other unbeaten team, Lodge Farmers, toppled opponents C and G Show with a narrow victory as the latter dropped to second in the table.
And the teams were evenly-matched for the first three legs as Lodge Farmers led by a single pin going into leg four.
Despite Lodge Farmers putting up modest scores in legs four and five, C and G Show were unable to keep on terms and fell well short of the 70 pins they required in the final leg.
Richard Long and Frank Morris scored 37 each for the winners whilst Rich Fisher and Bryan Smith made 37 and 33 respectively for C and G Show.
After three consecutive losses, Jumbo Jet Set finally got their season back up and running thanks largely to anchor man, Mick Stanton who made 49 (including stacks of 14 and 11) to record the joint-leading individual league score so far this season.
First bowler for Jumbo Jets, Len Quartly, chipped in with 44 pins (13 stack) whilst Nomads, badly missed key bowlers on holiday and came away with just the consolation of a half bonus point for matching Jumbo Jets last leg score.
For Nomads, Alan Spreckley again bowled well making 37 (13 stack) and Geoff Loat and James Marshal made 36 each.
