RICH Fisher, of C and G Show, scored stacks of 15, 13 and 11 on his way to an individual score of 52 pins – the highest total recorded in a single game in the Redditch Skittles League this season.

Fisher’s impressive total was supported by Aaron Evans and Paul Hollis, who scored 12 and 10 stacks respectively, whilst Dave Orton knocked over 35 pins as C and G Show beat Jumbo Jet Set.

That was despite Jumbo Jets leading by 19 pins at the end of leg one as C and G Show recovered to win leg two by some 27 pins as the winners punished their opponents for some sloppy bowling.

C and G Show built up their lead over the next two legs before Jumbo Jets grabbed a consolation point by taking the last leg as Rich Johnston (42 including 13 stack) and Dennis Compton (36, 14 stack) bowled well for the losers.

Elsewhere, The Borough secured a shock win against league leaders Lodge Farmers as the victors capitalised on a poor score from their opponents to clinch just their third win of the season.

The game was all square after two legs before The Borough pulled into a 10-pin lead at the end of leg three and easily knocked over the required 56 pins in the final leg to upset the leaders.

Michelle Court (38) and the in-form Scott Few (36) top scored for The Borough whilst Tim Jones (38, 12 stack) and Frank Morris were Lodge Farmers’ top scorers.

Bernie’s Bolts recorded a narrow seven-pin win against Engineers with just five pins between the two teams at the end of leg three.

However, Engineers pulled into 12-pin lead at the end of leg four only to score 56 in the final leg which allowed Bernie’s Bolts to snatch victory as they scored the required 69 pins, led by Jim Williamson who top scored with 43 (including 15 and 11 stacks), as anchor man Mark Andrews (38) knocked over the final pins.

Lewis McSweeney and Don Goodman made stacks of 14 and 13 respectively for the Bolts whilst for Engineers, Craig Ellis top scored with 43 (stacks of 15 and 12) as Ian Greenway (11 stack), Mark Ganderton and Darren Sanders all scored 35.

Lastly, Nomads eased to victory against basement team Swingers in the only game without a single stack.

However, Nomads missed the chance to take maximum points as Swingers gained a consolation point by taking the last leg.

Nomads bowler Graham Hanley came closest to a stack but missed out with the last ball as Mac Eaton and Alan Cummings top scored with 39 and 35 respectively whilst Rob Baker (36), Larry Hanks (31) and Paul Clifton (31) top scored for Swingers.
