LODGE Farmers moved top of the Redditch Skittles League table with an impressive 337-312 win against second-placed side Engineers.
The league leaders made 63 pins in the first leg as Engineers below par 53 handed Lodge Farmers the early advantage.
And Lodge Farmers extended their lead by a further nine pins in the second leg to take complete control of the fixture.
Engineers won the third leg by six pins and posted an impressive 73 in leg four only for Lodge Farmers to go one better with 74 pins which stifled Engineers hopes of a comeback.
And Lodge Farmers scored 75 pins in the final leg to take an unassailable 90-pin lead as Tim Jones (41, two stacks of 12), Richard Long (37) and Andy Rumble (36) top scored for the winners.
Engineers trio Andy Clewlow (41), Ian Greenway (34, 12 stack) and Mark Ganderton (34) top scored for their side.
The result means Lodge Farmers are now guaranteed to finish at least joint second ahead of their final game against reigning champions Engineers.
