LODGE Farmers produced a remarkable comeback to beat Jumbo Jet Set and return to the top of the Redditch Skittles League table.

Farmers looked down and out after two legs as Jumbo Jets raced into a 17-pin lead only for a poor third leg to score to allow Lodge back into the contest.

And after reducing the deficit to just two pins at the end of leg three, Farmers pulled away in the remaining two legs to secure victory.

For Farmers, Tim Jones (41, 13 stack), Rachel Morris (40) and Lynne Long (37) top scored while for Jumbo Jets, Mick Stanton (46, 15 stack), Dave Marriott (36) and Rob Quartly (34) all impressed.

Elsewhere, The Borough climbed off the bottom of the table with victory against C and G Show, leapfrogging their opponents in the standings.

The Borough built a decisive 22-pin lead after three legs before C and G Show took the final two legs by a narrow margin to claim some valuable consolation points.

For The Borough, Scott Few (42), Charlie Few (36) and Sarah Edwards (33) top scored with Aaron Evans (37), Adam Feeney (36) and Bryan Smith (35) on form for C and G Show.

Lastly, Bernie’s Bolts led from start to finish in their win against Nomads, taking a slender one-pin lead after the first leg before extending that to 14 pins in leg two.

Nomads reduced the advantage to eight pins in leg three before Bernie’s Bolts won leg four and Nomads won the last leg.

For Bernie’s Bolts, Paul Blayney (42, 13 stack), Craig McSweeney (39) and Jim Williamson (34) top scored while Alan Cummings (38), Geoff Loat (33) and James Marshall (32) impressed for Nomads.
