LODGE Farmers surrendered an early lead to draw with The Borough in the latest round of action in the Redditch Skittles League.
The defending champions opened up a 15-pin lead after the first two legs only for the Borough to score 73 pins in leg three.
And the Borough capitalised on a low score from the Farmers in leg four to take a two-pin lead into the final leg.
The Borough’s last leg total left the Farmers needing 69 pins for victory but they could only mange 68 to tie the game on pins but take home one extra point than their opponents.
For the Borough, Sarah Edwards (38, 16 stack) and Charlie Few and Ian Forman (both 34) top scored while Glyn Morley (38), Frank Morris (36) and Sue Morris (35) impressed for Lodge Farmers.
Elsewhere, Nomads claimed a comprehensive victory against Jumbo Jet Set.
Nomads cruised to victory and could have won by more had Geoff Loat twice and Alan Cummings once not missed the reset pins after clearing all nine pins with the first two balls.
For Nomads, Loat (41), Eddie Upright (39) and Mac Eaton (38) top scored while Len Quartly (35) and Rob Quartly and Rich Johnston (both 32) impressed for Jumbo Jet Set.
And Engineers secured an equally dominant win against Bernie’s Bolts.
Engineers won the second leg by a single pin but comfortably claimed the other legs in a resounding victory.
For Engineers, Mark Ganderton (38) and Craig Sears and Andy Clewlow (both 37) top scored while Andy Gill-Smith (35) and Mark West and Paul Blayney (both 33) impressed for Bernie’s Bolts.
