NORMAL service was resumed in the Redditch Skittles League as leaders Lodge Farmers and second-placed Engineers both returned to winning ways.
Lodge Farmers took maximum points against C and G Show after winning the first two legs by a narrow margin before taking a 30-pin lead at the end of leg three.
And Lodge Farmers scored well to take the remaining two legs, despite a decent recovery from C and G Show as Tim Jones top scored with 38 (including 12 and 11 stacks) whilst Frank Morris and Glyn Morley scored 37 each.
C and G Show’s best efforts came from Paul Hollis and Dave Orton who scored 36 and 34 respectively.
Engineers also tasted victory as they won the first four legs against The Borough but missed out on maximum points after producing their lowest leg score in leg five.
Joe Kelso scored 38 (14 stack) and Brandon Kelso (37) for Engineers whilst Sarah Edwards and Rhiannon Watson made 38 and 33 respectively for The Borough.
Nomads and Jumbo Jets struggled to recapture their form from the previous week as the latter team took the first leg in vain and eventually recorded their lowest ever game total.
That meant Nomads claimed an easy victory as Eddie Upright made 37 whilst Alan Cummings (12 stack) and Geoff Loat scored 34 apiece.
Only Dennis Compton with 40 (14 stack) showed any good form for Jumbo Jets with Rob Quartly and Dave Marriott making a modest 31 pins each.
Bernie’s Bolts, moved into third place led by Mark Andrews who scored 35 and John McSweeney who scored 32 pins.
The victors led Swingers by five pins at the end of leg three before they pulled away to comfortably win the remaining two legs as Martin Brennan and Jim Child both scored 33 for Swingers.
