SKITTLES - Redditch Skittles League present awards for 2019/20 and 2021/22 seasons

THE Redditch Skittles League held a belated presentation night for the 2019/20 and 2021/22 seasons which were interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and league reorganisation.

The 2019/20 season saw Engineers win the league title with Nomads runners-up while the latter side also produced the highest team score of 363 pins.

And Mac Eaton claimed the Roger Colley Trophy with a individual score of 51 pins – the highest of any player that season.

The highest average women’s score came from Rachel Morris in the Les Clarke Cup as she averaged 34.58 (best 12) while Tim Jones had the highest average men’s score with 40.08 (best 12) in the Dorren Clarke Trophy.

And the highest aggregate total belonged to Jones who scored 682 pins in the Ken Hepherd Cup.

Kevin Masters won the singles competition with Rob Quartly second, Gary Marsh third and Ray Jones in fourth.




The 2021/22 season saw Engineers once again win the Redditch Skittles League title with Nomads again runners-up.

And Engineers scored the highest team total of 352 pins just ahead of Jumbo Jet Set’s score of 346 pins while Richard Fisher claimed the Roger Colley Trophy with the highest individual score of 52 pins.


The highest average women’s score came from Sue Morris in the Les Clarke Cup as she averaged 34.44 (best 9) while Rob Baker had the highest average men’s score with 38.66 (best 9) in the Dorren Clarke Trophy.

And the highest aggregate total belonged to Rob Quartly who scored 442 pins in the Ken Hepherd Cup.

Quartly also won the singles competition with Andy Clewlow second, Rachel Morris third and Rich Fisher in fourth.

Engineers C trio Brandon Kelso, Josh Kelso and Joe Kelso won the Chris Charlesworth Cup triples competition with Engineers B players Ian Greenway, Maurice Wroe and Craig Ellis runners-up.

And Engineers won the Summer Cup (Swan Challenge Cup) with Lodge Farmers runners-up as they claimed the Studley Old Peoples’ Fund Shield.
