THE Redditch Skittles League representative side, Renegades, duly made the semi-finals of the Worcester summer seven-a-side competition.
Needing to win just one leg from their last two group games, Renegades made certain of their place in the last four after edging leg one of the first game against Quarter Pounders.
And Renegades went on to win the match before securing a comprehensive victory against Accrington Stanley Supporters to seal top spot in the group.
Renegades led Quarter Pounders by three pins after two legs only to fall eight pins behind following the third leg.
However, Renegades cut the deficit to three pins in leg four before eventually clicking into gear to seal a 354-342 success with Len Quartly (56, 13 stack), Alan Cummings (53, 14 stack) and Craig Sears (52) top scoring.
With top spot already assured, Renegades were in top form against Accrington Stanley Supporters to claim a thumping 399-333 victory.
Renegades led by a remarkable 45 pins after two legs before Accrington won leg three to close the gap only for the Redditch side to clinch three of the last four legs en route to a comfortable 66-pin success.
Rob Quartly (64, 15 and 12 stacks), Geoff Loat (62, 16 stack) and Andy Clewlow (62, 15 stack) top scored.
