REDDITCH Hockey Club’s exciting HockeyFest takes place this weekend and players old and new are invited to join in the fun.
All of the club’s teams will be in action at their Bromsgrove Road home on Saturday and there will be a barbecue and sweet and cake stalls to enjoy before the fun continues into the evening with an after-party until midnight featuring DJ Rich.
For this year’s HockeyFest, the club have included a Back to Hockey session in the morning for anyone who has been inspired by the Great Britain women’s team’s fantastic gold medal triumph at the Rio Olympics.
The Back to Hockey session, which is free of charge, will take place between 10.30-11.30am.
Then follows the ladies’ first team game against Pershore at noon, the Badgers against Leamington at 1.30pm, the men’s first team game against Stratford 2nds at 3pm and an inter-club contest featuring men’s 2nds, 3rds and 4ths at 4.30pm.
The disco in the clubhouse then follows at 7pm, including a raffle at 9pm.

Meanwhile, junior training sessions are now under way at the club.
They take place every Wednesday between 6-7.30pm and are open to all ages between six and 16.
The cost is £3 per session or £35 for a season membership.
