REDDITCH United have confirmed the return of former caretaker boss and assistant manager Keron Jackson to the club’s backroom staff.

Jackson returns to the club in an assistant manager capacity to recently-appointed boss Matt Clarke.

And Simon Johnson has also joined the club as first team coach following the recent departures of Calum Flangan and Ryan Conneely.

Clarke said: “The minute I knew I was coming back I was straight on the phone to Keron as we have worked together for such a long time and his knowledge and ability on the grass is second to none.

“I’m really excited to get Simon on board. He boasts an outstanding playing career playing in the Premier League with Leeds and brings fresh and exciting ideas.

“He’s excellent on the grass and specialises in getting the best out of talented young players.”

Jackson initially departed the club in May earlier this year after leading the Reds to the Southern League Premier Central play-offs last season as interim boss.

Johnson made nine appearances for Leeds United in the Premier League as a player in the early 2000s and later enjoyed spells with Darlington and Hereford United.
