REDDITCH United responded to a seven-goal drubbing against AFC Sudbury by scoring six goals against Kidderminster Harriers in the Worcestershire Senior Cup.
A strong Reds side put a young Harriers team to the sword at the Valley Stadium as a hat-trick from Alex Cameron and further goals from Aram Soleman, Matty Warburton and Liam Loughlan sealed Redditch’s place in the semi-finals.
The result came after United lost 7-0 at home against Southern League Premier Central leaders Sudbury last weekend.
However, Fowler and his players responded to the defeat by thrashing Harriers 6-1 in the Senior Cup midweek.
The Reds broke the deadlock after just two minutes when Cameron finished Fabian Reynolds’s low cross from close range.
Redditch doubled their lead two minutes later as Soleman turned home a corner from the left from inside the six-yard box.
United extended their advantage on 18 minutes when Cameron pounced on a loose pass to finish through the legs of the Kidderminster goalkeeper.
The home side struck again seven minutes later as Warburton lashed a low shot into the bottom left corner from 20-yards out.
And Cameron completed his hat-trick on 28 minutes with a cool finish from Danny King’s low ball into the box from the right.
The Reds led by five goals inside half an hour and made it six just three minutes into the second half as Loughlan turned home a loose ball from 10-yards out.
Harriers grabbed a consolation goal when George Dalton scored from the penalty spot three minutes from time.
Redditch are next in action against Banbury United on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
