Strengthened Millers still eyeing new recruits

Redditch Editorial 6th Apr, 2017   0

NEWLY-PROMOTED Feckenham play their first friendly ahead of the 2017 campaign when they visit Studley on Saturday, April 15.

The Millers have been busily preparing for their first season in Worcestershire League Division One and have had a healthy turnout to their midweek nets in Evesham.

First team captain Jamie Reddish said: “The guys are looking really good and we are very pleased with a few new additions to the team.

“We have an excellent young side who have nothing to worry about in a higher division and we believe that on our day we can be a match for anyone.

“The overseas situation has been frustrating so far but we are looking to hopefully add a couple more before the start of the season to give us excellent squad depth.”

Feckenham will hold their first outdoor training session for all teams on Wednesday, April 12 and begin their league campaign at home to Cookley on April 22.

Due to league regulations which require a Division One team to field three teams, Feckenham are still on the lookout for cricketers of any standard who are looking to play cricket this summer.
